        About Us

Connecting researchers to find innovative solutions to global challenges.

The AAUN is a group of leading universities in Australia and Africa, connecting academics through institutional partnerships.

At a time when the environment is ideal for building successful partnerships with African countries, the AAUN aims to further the Australian Government’s commitment to revitalising its relationship with Africa.

The establishment of the network is integral in enabling both continents to work together creatively to find new solutions to long-standing challenges, including initiatives towards Millennium Development Goals in Africa.

Long-term growth and investment prospects in Africa are promising, as several of the world’s fastest-growing economies are now located in sub-Saharan Africa.
